Taoist Ceremonies

Ceremonies and rituals help us celebrate the transitions and significant events in our lives.  Weddings, births (Taoists seal the baby’s third eye), memorials, commitment acknowledgments, funerals and other ceremonies create lifelong memories of these milestones. Wu Dang Taoism offers the opportunity to commemorate pivotal life events with ceremonies performed in accordance with the Tao.

Master Chen has been solemnizing marriages and officiating at other types of ceremonies for some years.  He will work with you to design a Taoist, inter-faith or non-denominational ceremony that is most meaningful for you, with full intention to manifest something that is at once humble and powerful.

An Expression of the Tao, and of You

As you plan your event, Master Chen will meet with you a few times to get a sense of who you are, what the ceremony will mean to you, and to understand your vision for the ceremony. The Path is different for everyone, and Master Chen will guide you in creating a ceremony that is meaningful both in the Tao and in your life.

Master Chen encourages you to write vows and select poems, songs, readings, and music that are distinctive and a direct expression of your essence.
