Ray has been a student of Master Chen since 2005, with his primary focus being on the personal cultivation of good health and longevity.  Academically, he was trained as a chemist, and his professional skills have been used in the arena of international business and scientific research (cell biology, atomic spectroscopy, crystallography, and materials characterization).   Since he previously had considerable exposure to Chinese Medicine via acupuncture and herbal approaches, after meeting Master Chen he continued his studies by learning Wu Dang Tai Chi and Qi Gong forms.  Subsequently, he has become a certified Wu Dang Qi Gong instructor and External Qi Healing provider.  He would be happy to share his experience with anyone that is interested, since over the past decade he feels that he has experienced a continual improvement in many aspects of his internal energy and bodily health.  In particular, he has considerable experience in bridging the language and belief ‘barriers’ between the ‘rational’ western scientific/medical methods, and the Chinese approach/philosophy of energy healing and Qi cultivation.  He feels that he is ‘walking proof’ of Master Chen’s teachings about the potential benefits of these practices for health and longevity.  The attached photo was taken just short of his 60^th birthday, after a seven straight days of Qi Gong training lasting 18 hours a day.
